Sound performance for the Mercedes Marco Polo Horizon Sound Package 2 incl. rear system
The Mercedes Marco Polo Sound Package 2 is available with two 26mm tweeters, two 165mm woofers, two 130mm coaxial speakers and a vehicle-specific bass-reflex subwoofer, as well as a digital 5-channel amplifier.
The sound system is specially calibrated for the vehicle’s acoustics. The specific subwoofer is specially designed for the rear side panel and is thus integrated invisibly and in a space-saving way.
Another special feature is the two vehicle-specific sound setups. This allows the impressive sound to be individually adjusted with a subwoofer and setup switch controller for driving or stationary operation. The sound system can be controlled via Bluetooth using a smartphone. The head unit does not need to be switched on for smartphone control.
The following components are included in the scope of delivery of sound package 2:
- Sound package 1 (part no. 69758-82)
• Marco Polo Horizon Subwoofer (item no. 69711)
• digital 5-channel amplifier “plug & play” incl. sound setup - 2x 120mm coaxial speakers incl. mounting ring in the headliner (Marco Polo) or 2x 130mm coaxial speakers incl. mounting ring in the side panel (other V-Classes)
The specific “Marco Polo” subwoofer
Thanks to an optimized volume construction, the subwoofer has a capacity of approx. 18 liters. Despite the small housing volume, the subwoofer delivers maximum sound quality. The integrated 200 mm subwoofer works with a 4-way voice coil drive with maximum efficiency.
It is installed in a space-saving manner next to the seating area in the hollow space of the rear side panel (passenger side). The housing construction was designed for a precise fit so that the existing installations (control units, trailer coupling, jack and on-board tools) remain unrestricted.
Subwoofer housing dimensions (WxHxD): 430 x 220 x 780 mm
Marco Polo Horizon Sound Package 2 – Optional accessories:
AUX input integrated in amplifier (art. no. 11062-AUX-Klinke)
Rocker switch for using the sound system via AUX or Bluetooth without command (rocker switch/radio switch)
It is important that the vehicle doors and side paneling are properly insulated. An appropriate insulation package is available for this. It includes alubutyl and foam mats (Art. No. 27960).
