The Ford sound system offers a high-quality, vehicle-specific 3-way sound system for the cab as standard. The Swabian manufacturer offers systems in various performance levels and recommends a high-quality 3-way system in a precisely tuned listening position for the driver and front passenger to optimise the sound characteristics in the mid-high range of the cab. The sound system is acoustically calibrated to the driver’s cab. This guarantees an optimum sound image and detailed music reproduction.
It can be expanded in two power levels and promises first-class listening pleasure and spirited sound with a 5-channel DSP amplifier and bass reflex subwoofer. For brilliant sound performance in the living area, the system can optionally be supplemented with a rear system.
The 3-way sound system in the cab
In order to optimise the sound characteristics for the mid-high range of the driver’s cab, two 80 mm mid-range drivers and two 26 mm tweeters in vehicle-specific mid-high modules on the dashboard achieve an impressive sound stage in a precisely tuned listening position. In the vehicle doors, two powerful 165 mm JEHNERT power woofers produce a powerful low-frequency range for an impressive sound performance. The woofers are installed using a custom-fit mounting adapter. The sound system is specially calibrated to the driver’s cab in terms of vehicle acoustics. This guarantees a first-class sound image and detailed music reproduction.

The digital 5-channel amplifier is extremely powerful and particularly versatile. It offers the possibility of finest frequency programming with broadband frequency compensation as well as the transfer of frequencies and delay corrections.
A specific setup has been developed for the Ford Transit, which is pre-installed with every sound package. The compact 5-channel amplifier has a dynamically regulated switching power supply, which reduces heat generation and power consumption to an absolute minimum.

The amplifier offers the right power for every requirement. For hi-fi purists, the high-power version with twice the output offers even greater sound dynamics. The 5-channel amplifier also offers the option of expanding the sound system with 2 living room speakers.
